Adelaide Metro public transport ticketing is a bit fucking chaotic it seems. You can obtain and put money on a metroCard which I get the impression is the preferred method, but a bit of a pain in the arse for a visitor who just wants to get on one bus. You can tap a credit card - but that only tracks one trip, useless if you're taking a kid on the bus with you. You can download and use the Pay & Go app for a digital ticket, which I've just done, but this will not allow you to get discounted parking at a Park'n'Ride, that only works with a metroCard.
That is my whinge for today. A bit of bloody consistency wouldn't go astray.
