When I need to concentrate on something or massively context switch and clear my mind, I quite often listen to speech radio or podcasts that I can quickly zone out from. My new discovery is listening podcasts about TV programmes I've never seen. It's a great, accidental replacement for sitting next to people in a cafe who are briefly fascinating, but who - over time - fade into the background.
