some raccoons and skunks will start hunting at dusk if they are not getting enuf food.
early bird getting the worm shit.
fed a runt racoon that started showing up at dusk when i was a kid. it got healthy and fat very fast.
few months later it brought kits.
fed them all by hand the first gen.
stopped feeding them after they got to be a decent size because the family turned into a posse that needed to get back to hunting/foraging again.
