Can someone from a deed system explain how it works? I have only lived in a title land management system. this seems like a case of centralized land management vs decentralized land management but I don't know enough of the alternative system.
My historical understanding is a deed is a record of ownership on a physical piece of paper. seems like fraud could be easy in this system. Would it just come down to a judge deciding what deed is valid?
how does property ownership transfer work in a deed system? do you just give the deed to the new owner? Does the new owner get a new entry on the deed. is the compensation noted on the deed? What happened when you ran out of space on the paper?
