With the exodus from Twitter, I'm a big advocate of people using whatever social media that works best for them - and if it's not Fedi, that's fine, and I wish 'em well.

But I can't lie, it does feel more than a little frustrating seeing so many jump on the Bluesky bandwagon without even giving Fedi so much as a passing glance - especially when they're friends I really want to keep in touch with via social media. I am invested here and not really interested in navigating another poorly moderated corporate social media site. I'm tired of all the ads and the bullshit - both things that Fedi is thankfully lacking. Adding to my frustration, I fear that limiting myself to here is just going to limit my social network more than it already is - and making new friends as one gets older isn't as easy as it used to be.

So yeah, it's frustrating. I wish I was better at evangelizing everything that makes Fedi great to at least get friends to give it a shot - but bsky has the momentum right now. :/
