Cicadas are making a cacophony across wooded parts of Ōtautahi-Christchurch, NZ. On my run yesterday I recorded 107 db when I held my watch up to one chorus cicada (kihikihi wawā).
I was going to post a funny public health warning about cicadas but then I looked at the Health app on my iPhone and the only days this week I got sound warnings were all the days I biked to work. Passing cars got up to 111 db.
