Seriously, though, since so many tertiary institutions already have or had a presence downtown - USF, SFSU, CCSF, Golden Gate University - and since people have been talking this for ages, this is not an original idea for the Mayor.
It's not a terrible idea, but I also don't see it as realistic. It might be that UCB might open some units in downtown SF or that the UC system might expand out of downtown Oakland.
