That is interesting. Yes I have noticed that some lesbians like to think they were "born gay," but that hasn't been scientifically proven.
It seems like the "born gay" idea was a political strategy to legitimize lesbianism and gay men, then some people started taking it way too seriously and even internalized it as a fact, and they now have a knee-jerk reaction of seeing homophobia if people don't agree. Kind of like the gender identity concept started off as a way to legitimize trans people and has now become a trigger for knee-jerk accusations of transphobia.
