Nothing wrong with that mistake because international law is complex, I myself misunderstood that until the war started and people started referring to Geneva.

But while UDHR indeed attempts to build an universal axiom - humans have dignity by default and it doesn’t have to be proven in any way - regardless of how this works in practice, the Geneva fully recognizes war is about violence and killing by definition, just tries to make it as civilised as possible. Plenty of statements in Geneva are built on “reasonable”, “when possible” etc.
