#WordWeavers: How do you create characters who have depth?

I take very little credit for my characters’ depth, only credit for them being known by readers. When I need a new story, I meditate on what sort of story in general I want to tell. The characters show up in dreams or meditation. I just record their stories. Whether you want to consider that how my creativity works, or it’s something else, I leave that to you.😊
