I have been using #Rust and #Nix for so long that I have totally forgotten how absolute crazy stuff can get out there.

Installing stuff separately to building software. Systemwide dependencies for single projects. No dependency resolution, no attempt at making things reproducible etc…

Every time I peek over, I am flabbergasted people still put up with it rofl

If I have a project a colleague wants to contribute to, they just have nix populate a shell with everything and off they go. Even vscode can use it. So no excuses ;P
