All this belt tightening and restricting our spending doesn't get any economy out of a hole and only digs the country further in.

You spend money on Housing, The NHS, Green environmental projects etc..

Create jobs, apprenticeships, employ people, on decent wages so they pay tax , and have perhaps a bit of disposable income.

So they in turn can buy good and create manufacturing jobs etc... it becomes self generating.

Simplistic.. yes .. but true never the less...
