so my rule is if it has the content it should be 200 if their is so content or it doesn’t exists in the database at all then return the correct 4XX code.
We use these codes in the wrong way so many times. But this is by people who don’t normally fully understand.
The 4XX should potentially affect their SEO as that content won’t be counted (I am not an SEO professional) but my guess is Google doesn’t show 4XX pages in search.
