Mastodon private messaging peculiarity:
If you have created a "private conversation" between you and another person and then in follow-up replies mention a third account, that third account gets brought into the conversation, even if that wasn't your intent. They can't see the past messages (in which they weren't mentioned). Just one of those things I'm glad I got surprised by in a benign context rather than disclosing private conversations unintentionally.
