The US might be the richest human society that's ever existed, and we have the resources to put towards this transition. What's more, it won't just benefit Americans -- it's probably the most important thing the US can do *in the world*.
But that means not letting these resources be strip-mined and hoarded by wannabee oligarchs.
Which means not handing over the reins of power and the keys to the federal coffers to someone who couldn't stay focused on 'Infrastructure Week' past Tuesday.
