(This week I'm posting photos from an experiment in double exposures related to Hong Kong, the city I lived 6 years in until 2021. A friend who chose not to be named took photographs of architectural features in Hong Kong for me to use as textures with Emily, a native Hong Kong artists who agreed to model for this.)
One of the things that is specific, maybe not to Hong-Kong only but certainly to Southern Chinese architecture is outside walls in open spaces (stairwells, parking lots) designed to block sunlight and heat, but also let the air through. As a consequence these walls look like lattices. I think it works wonderfully as a pattern in this double exposure.
