Sometimes, people just do what they can, with the skills and resources available to them.
Not everyone is well positioned to “fight back” against AI at a policy level, or influence social change.
Perhaps the most they can do is switch what tools they use, or adopt a technical workaround, and make things slightly better, slightly less awful, for themselves. Perhaps they can share what’s worked for them with others in a similar position.
And that is fine, and valuable in itself.
