Back in the 2000s and earlier, people were shitting on Japanese tech and animes for being worse than American ones, and people still made fun of Japanese accents and mannerisms. The iCarly Japan special, for example, sincerely dehumanized Japanese people, even as a kids show (Fuck you Dan Schneider and stop fucking fapping to little kiddies' feet). There was also the fucking evil "Koreans eat dogs" meme was prominent back in the 2010s (hopefully not anymore), which is a prominent example of recent Anti-Asian racism, and you know how much South Korea is a US ally.
