I really wish software engineering curriculums had a class on maintaining code written by someone ten years prior. Paired with therapy sessions to help people process their emotions. Too many engineers start new projects because they don't have any practice at setting aside their own egos or working through a feeling of insecurity about their status within their company, the industry, etc.
