yeah, the banks are in bed with google
i quit trying to fight that one, and i pay a lot to have my lightning capable xapo bank, and they are better than revolut (btw if you can get it maybe you want to try "icard" from bulgaria, tehy are pretty good too, also EU based but not revolut, ie lithuania) oh yeah there is also Monese from romania, i got one of their accounts a while back as a backup plan if i had problems with xapo
but xapo has been perfect except their very high fees (like 89 euro a month) but it's worth it to be able to keep my sats in self custody and zap them to spend in seconds via alby hub
but even with xapo i am forced to have an android phone and the android phone forces me to use wifi which i don't like, and i'm also paying 10 euro a month for a vodafone sim that i barely use at all, data or voice calls, basically mostly have it as a camera and for whatsapp to my landlord and xapo bank
not what i want, but it is what it is at this time
i suspect you won't get any joy out of revolut, icard or monese or xapo without having an android phone, my suggestion is get the cheapest android 11+ phone you can find, and keep it just for the bank... i will mention that unlike other bank apps, including revolut, xapo is not complaining that my phone is rooted, which is good because i keep it plugged in and android 13 still doesn't have sane charge control so i have to root to make it not overcharge and blow up the battery like my last two phones did from being plugged in 99% of the time
