I am seeing a lot of toots from folks with a long established presence on Mastodon creating #Pixelfed accounts. Why is that? It has been my experience on social media that almost no one ever looks through your back catalog of photos. Additionally, it seems that people almost never stop & look at a toot of two or more photos. Albeit, here in the fediverse I do get much more interaction than I did elsewhere, but still, the average social media attention span remains short even in the fediverse.
