Our hallway is cleared and ready to receive ROCKS FROM SPACE! OSIRIS-REx grabbed samples of asteroid Bennu and will land in Utah this Sunday. It will quickly be recovered and deconstructed in an on-site clean room. Monday, the samples will be flown on a C-130 directly to Ellington Airforce base, then a short drive to NASA Johnson Space Center here in Houston, TX. The sample container, attached to a nitrogen tank for preservation, will be brought in through those double doors and into our brand new clean room facilities.
