This is intentionally direct (harder for the dishonest to BS)
Why do *some* people that do not have #science degrees say, or at least infer, that a science degree is something they don't appreciate?
1. They can't know what they haven't learnt (experienced)
2. They do know that society values science (status)
3. They may have implicit envy. Rather than study for a science degree, it's easier for them to simply not believe in the validity of the qualification
