However, landing distance indeed was critical so they should have extended the airbrakes after touchdown and attempted reversers. The nacelles looked good enough in the video for it to have worked, at least to bleed off some speed.
Also a hydraulic failure would not have prevented them from lowering the gear manually. Much less a single failure.
I'd say let's wait for the investigation report.
