A necklace dating back to approximately 1000 BC, composed of 168 bronze rings and four pendants. The pendants are interpreted as a local variation of the Egyptian ankh symbol - the symbol of life.
The necklace was found at Wasserburg Buchau, situated on the Federsee lake. Given its access to the Rhine and Danube river systems, the Federsee region has been an important part of European trade routes since the Neolithic period. It appears that not only material goods spread to this region.
