I See @Ten31vc investing in blue collar bitcoiners.
Let me tell you why. #SMB
Grant and the Ten31 team have clarified that they invest in Sats Flowing businesses.
Meaning a long term strategy to acquire sats flow (vs. cash flow)
Many small businesses are actually some of the biggest bread winners and wealth builders in America.
So much so that "acquisition entrepreneurship" has been one of the backbones of private equity. Amassing around 36% returns yearly over the last 40 years or so.
Insane returns.
So local businesses that deploy those cash flows into #Bitcoin directly, are going to likely outpace Bitcoin tech startups that may take 4-5 years to create position returns.
You can acquire a small business today, pay down investors in a couple of years, and then take home as a CEO 400k - 2mil yearly.
But you must have sales, operations or finance chops.
I have a feeling Bitcoin VC's will invest in a Bitcoin denominated search fund.
How would that look?
Well you raise capital from someone like @Ten31vc
and then you hold long term with multi-institutional custody like
@AcropolisBTC.
You hire the most ethical and hard working people and build a company culture around the principles of #Bitcoin like
@jackmallers has done at @Strike
This may feel foreign to some of you. It should.
It is the opposite of the tech world.
But in reality, mainstreet businesses cash flow and print far larger returns and profits than any typical VC investment.
This is precisely why if Blue Collar hard working Bitcoiners can show a track record of results, building company culture, and executing great work, there WILL BE A BITCOIN SEARCH FUND.
WHY TO RECAP:
1. Returns are far better.
2. You can start stacking #Bitcoin day 1
3. You can roll up other businesses and multiply your exit which expedites Bitcoin acquired.
It is a no brainer, but what we LACK are actual blue collar working bitcoiners.
I am excited to see #Bitcoin denominated search funds.
I have been thinking about this for a few years now, and I think about it more and more as time passes.
I think it was baltic honey badger where @jack, Odell, @jackmallers and Grant spoke about "cash flowing bitcoin businesses".
They discussed as if it is foreign and rare, which it is in the VC/Tech/Silicon Valley world.
But is very rational, normal, and a simple business practice to cash flow in the real world where money matters and flows the way it was intended.
As the SMB Bitcoin guy who has worked with these businesses for my career it only makes sense.
