Rembrandt was one of the few paintings that stopped me on my tracks. However, the sad thing I noticed as I started hunting them down in museums is how bad most of them look 😖

Squished impasto is the issue 😒😒😒😒 imagine if the paint was so thick creating a particular effect but then it got pressed on 😒
