Exactly, you're talking about gradual change over many generations. This idea among the AI lords that social mobility can be frozen within a single generation without it ending disastrously is perhaps the most delusional of all their beliefs. No matter how many millions Sam Altman pisses away on basic income experiments in search of a cope solution, simply handing people money wouldn't fix it. The saving grace for him and his ilk is that they're likely overpromising, at least for now.
