So, if you're one of those people who believes that the Confederacy would have ended slavery on their own, let's actually look at the Confederate Constitution, and discuss a few points.
1. The original U.S. Constitution does not use slavery or the word slave at all. The Confederate Constitution mentions it at least 10 times, explicitly mentioning n**ro slaves 3 times.
2. The idea that somehow Industrialization would have brought about a world where slavery was no longer necessary, is ridiculous. We live hundreds of years in the future from then, and we still rely on manual labor. A lot of which is still done by slave labor and under paid migrant labor.
3. The idea that what they really wanted was more state's rights is disproved by the Confederate Constitution itself, because it was putting even more federal laws into place than the original Constitution.
4. Other than adding the parts about slavery, it's basically a copy and paste job from the original Constitution.
