There will be too much emphasis on GP services, IT services & Acute Hospitals, and too little interest in Mental Health services, rehabilitation services, scientific services, back-office functions and the NHS estate.
All of these are essential for the state of the public health and / or running an efficient & effective health system.
Every government wrings its hands over mental health provision, but when do we ever see any change, let alone investment?
Rehabilitation services is something the NHS used to do extremely well, but now it's an afterthought, or farmed out to private contractors who have little interest in preventing readmission or relapse.
The NHS at one time had world beating scientific services that drove innovation and improved outcomes - now? They're a nuisance and far too readily privatised where the emphasis is in meeting the contract, not innovation.
