Why would you want them to be rot resistant?
All the wood you trhow into it is there for to rot in the irst place.
Once they are too rotten, place a new plank infront of the old one.
Or sample stones on your walks and place them in front of the planks meanwhile they rot to create fertalizer for your plants.
