Okay so apparently the issue is with Windows and this is an issue kicked off with an update from Microsoft that broke many games. A good chunk of those games being from Ubisoft as well.
So now it's just waiting for a patch from either side to work. Again, there are no problems with the game on SteamOS. That's pretty wild.
I keep getting tempted to move to Bazzite OS sooner than later. My PC should have the right hardware for it now, all AMD, but the thought of having to make back ups and move files around sounds exhausting. I'm trying to put it off till the last moment I NEED to or am forced to.

Funny enough though! It works on my Steam Deck. No issues there. Not even a Linux native port, it's working over Proton. I think the only thing is there's no multiplayer on the deck, but I haven't had a chance to verify that yet.
