Fellow #maker - I need your help describing (or sourcing) a thing!

I want to join two different gauges of cord… ~1mm and ~5mm diameter, respectively… think paracord to a dyneema kite line, and neatly cover/give some physical protection to the joint.

The adapter ferrule off my camera wrist strap is about perfect: it’s a simple bead, tapered from about a 6mm wide to a 2mm wide aperture. Flattened to an oval is a bonus, but round would do?
