I tried doing central heating and hotwater automation on HA and it just let me down 1 too many times that I am building it in ESP instead on device so that if HA is offline or Wifi has a fit at the wrong moment, I still have Hot Water and Heating working as desired. On other stuff like Tasmota/Shelly switches/relays I have resorted to putting in multiple automations so that if the 1st call fails, it tries again later, maybe there are better ways I could do it if I really wanted though. It may be self inflicted that it was not reliable enough for me so maybe I could investigate the causes more.
