A painting is not enough just to be looked at.
A painting must be seen with the heart, felt in the soul, interpreted with one's memories.
A work of art communicates, evokes emotions, tells stories. The viewer must enter into a dialogue with it, allowing himself to be involved.
Think of a Caravaggio painting: it is not just a play of light and shadow, but a drama in which we can almost feel the breath of the characters. Or an abstract work by Kandinsky, where colors and shapes vibrate like music.
