All the leaves in my yard, which is 55m by 450m, stay on the ground all Fall & Winter. I have several trees including a very large red oak that sheds a lot. This provides habitat for bumble bees and many other creatures. After 'no mow May' I mulch them with my lawnmower. After two mowings, they are not seen any more.
