Bitcoin maximalism is rooted in logic. The logic doesn't only apply to Bitcoin or even cryptocurrencies. It applies generally to protocols. A healthy ecosystem thrives most if we all build on one common protocol instead of dividing our efforts into competing protocols. So generally I'll say protocol maximalism is logical.
Tool maximalism, however, is not logical. No ecosystem thrives best if we marry ourselves to one tool and do not allow the growth of competitors. Whether its iPhones vs Androids, ColdCards vs SeedSigners, phillips head vs flathead screw drivers or whatever. It would be foolish not to consider all the tools at your disposal. It would be foolish to go through life as a phillips head screw driver maximalist.
Don't let tool companies trick you into becoming a maximalist for their tool. It hurts you in the long run.
