"content": "Sea ice extent in the Chukchi Sea remains high for this time of year. Overall this is the highest extent for July 7 since 2000 and the tenth highest for the date since 1979 in NSIDC data. There still isn't an open water path from the Bering Strait to Pt. Barrow, and the ice along the Alaska coast south of Point Hope is unusual this so far into summer in the 21st century (not uncommon before that). #akwx #Arctic #SeaIce #Climate \nnostr:npub1z0w9wpjhkm50mrwa8e8r4rs5zxswx4534hsd0u5eujxkfk4srfusfqvryl nostr:npub1ykx65vdn9n2mganypgs9t3lw09ln2vm547g9rrfgpqd0jyn2242q9zlz93\nhttps://alaskansocial.files.fedi.monster/media_attachments/files/112/752/478/839/385/962/original/53d4de7e90270479.png\n",
