4 July would be quite the choice for Scottish voters with kids. It's the 1st week of the school summer holidays & quite frequently when folk go away as it's cheaper (many places don't increase the prices until the English break up).
I suspect they just have no idea the school terms are different (particularly as I think private schools tend to mirror English dates) but could lead to a lovely conspiracy that they want to reduce the Scottish vote.
