Proton doesn’t have lightning capabilities.
When I tested it out, Onchain fees were really low and the transactions confirmed very quickly.
I’m not based in the US. Haven’t tried Strike.
In terms of Zaps, I still use WoS. I downloaded it when it first came out. No issues. BUT it’s custodial. So tiny transactions only.
Phoenix has a decent Bolt12 solution but there have been times when transactions did not go through.
