$40 is a pittance compared to the value of the time you'll spend actually reading the thing. Imagine you can devour it in 8 hours and you could be making $50/hr. $40 is just an extra 10%.
If your complaint is that you can't spare the time, that's a completely different story that I understand. If you don't have time to consider it, don't consider it.
But, don't then pretend as if you've considered it when you purposefully have not taken the time to do so. Just hang back until you have enough time, or let other critics who have read the thesis do the talking.
Note: @Conza (https://nitter.moomoo.me/Conza)'s critique is completely exempt from the above bitching episode. If the methodology is fundamentally fucked, the thesis needs rethought.
