Thanks to another person on here, I've been pondering vulnerability. I'm generally very reserved and only share things that feel "safe"--as in, likely won't garner much, if any, criticism. I was abused as a kid, so I know that this is a protective mechanism. I love #writing, yet I mostly keep it to myself and also hate doing it because it means I have to put myself "out there." I've only been on #mastodon for less than 2 mos but am already starting to feel safe. I'm grateful for this community!
