I need to be better at it myself, but it's part of why my standard images drifted towards all having *something* not quite real in them. I aim for making photo realistic images of unrealistic things/people/places. And stylized images of real things. If that makes sense? Maybe that would help with the sense of challenge. Also, The more photo realistic models out there DO tend to skew towards simple poses, with less dynamism.
