I vividly remember my first paycheck in 2009. It was a paltry R$313 (which seemed incredibly unfair considering the hours I worked). Two conflicting emotions took over me:
“Yes! My first paycheck!” A sense of accomplishment, of finally entering the job market.
“That’s it? I need to earn more.” A burning desire to increase that number, to free myself from financial constraints.
At the time, I had no idea how to actually increase my income. So I did what any aspiring bookstore would do: I went to the bookstore. I asked the salesperson, somewhat naively, “Which book should I buy to be successful in life?” Without hesitation, he recommended “The Art of War.”
Today, if someone asked me that, I would say: Generate value on the internet, specifically on Nostr.✍️
