"content": "Ok I think I figured it out thanks to nostr:npub1tpxk9lcz2ns4ttls5nsq34zk9a4pvh8cfgxwwgcd24tcvs9wuj9qhh33ew: my system needs a stable hostid. Then I’ll be able to disable the cache and let zfs-import scan for devices without -f, which will tolerate drives changing names, but still be on a happy path. Yay!\n\nNow, why are there no mentions of hostid on the zfs-import man page???",
