systemd's code is riddled with dependencies to microsoft github
and it's also just plain fragile as software. I would be avoiding its use purely based on functional non-microsoft reasons -- it's caused too many problems for me, personally. Unlike sysv init it ignores the unix philosophy and centralizes more and more of the system functionality into itself with time and where we can expect more, and more problems with going forward as the rest of the gnu/linux system evolves around to use it.
