The issue with relying solely on the sort of self moderation you describe is that it effectively means your users will first have to become the target of targeted harassment and attacks before they are likely to block it. So whilst yes this gives you ultimate freedom, you effectively also are giving absolutely zero protection to your users. Sure for some that may not be that relevant, but for minorities this actually may just be a quit moment or actively cause harm to them.",
