eemmaa (nprofile…3cxa) my dad bought me this "matrix lamp" for christmas, but when we tried it out all it did was light up all the letters inscribed in it at once and change colors. it didn't animate the falling strings of characters like we thought it would.

so we returned it. my dad said he would get me something else, but in the mean time i used an old monitor and a raspberry pi to play a nice 3d matrix screensaver constantly as if it's my own home-built matrix lamp.

it's not quite as nice looking as a really animated lamp, but it's functionally better.
