Stopped by the lumber yard this morning, and bought a single 1x12 (so really ¾ x 11¾) x 16 foot board of pine for a few future projects. Doing the math, it looks like I paid over $9/bf for clear pine. Yeah, it’s a wide board, and the only two knots on it are within 3 inches of one end, so I can throw them away easily, but ouch. That’s walnut prices. #woodWorking
