It’s slightly disappointing that a variable Noto Sans (with just a weight axis) cut down to what we use on IKEA.com is 38KB, while individual bold and regular non-variable files are 21KB in total.
I guess I’d hoped that there’d be a weight saving for a single variable font over multiple static ones. But maybe that was naïve?
